Chéri
We're meeting at the light.
On one of the first days,
I put my arm in yours, as a gentle way to say,
We'll cross together at the light.
Traffic swirling all around us
Strange forces that surround us.
We stepped into the street,
A quiet energy began to seep.
We walked and kept on walking,
We talked and kept on talking,
Barely noticing others on our travels;
That fact still makes me baffled.
That beautiful creator up above.
The one solely devoted to love
Quietly promoted us to love
On that last day,
Dare I say, we'll be meeting at the light
The obstacles to traverse,
The wounds and fears to nurse
There's a general direction we'll take.
Decisions we'll have Divine help to make,
At each light;
trying always to go straight
or right.
Yes, we have a boldness.
A warmth to counter others' coldness
We disregard international borders,
Dismiss convention's orders
Make me loud in the dark,
hit the private parts.
Put your finger in my mouth,
Then let me lick you South you u
cry out in return,
Stoke that fire,
Increase the burn.
I'm so glad;
Feelings I've had,
Must be mad ;-)
But I'm writing my first song,
Because we're meeting at the light.
